Just because the days are getting shorter, colder and darker, there is absolutely no reason to cancel out dining this month.
Going out? Try here
You’ll know by following me on Instagram that I love going out but in relevance to this post, I enjoy eating out and discovering new restaurants, because London’s food scene is vast and excitingly enough, its still growing.
So here is my December London Restaurant Guide, so you can pick your next stop with the help of an experienced diner… because there is nothing worse than going out to eat, leaving disappointed and a couple of hundreds of pounds down every month. This guide is saving you that anguish!
Fancy a little culture with your weekend eating?
Picking the perfect dining hotspot on Brick Lane was never going to be easy, so thankfully I got to try before I, you know, buy.
Introducing City Spice Restaurant, also known as ‘The King Of Brick Lane’, I can say many things but the most noted delight I was able to take with me after reviewing the location was the impeccable hospitality. City Spice is not only located in the best part of Brick Lane, central of the ‘Western’ & ‘Asian’ quarters of the famous road, directly opposite The Truman Brewery, but it’s managed by ‘The King ‘ himself, Abdul Ahad who was seriously a fantastic host.
As with most Indian cuisines there is always a vast amount of dishes to order from but stuffing myself and my guest with over 6 different dishes from the clean and busy restaurant, I can almost guarantee that you won’t have a problem with any dish. Just watch the spice levels, if you can’t handle the heat.
Where can you go in London for a fantastic meal, an extensive list of delicious cocktails and impeccable views close to the East of town? Barbecoa that’s where!
Barbecoa is (another) Jamie Oliver’s ventures bringing a heavy slap of glam to St Pauls. Also reffered to as the UK’s first barbecue steakhouse, the succulent menu is adorned with grilled British and Irish meat dishes, uber -fancy views of the church as well as the walk-ins from One New Change and dishy waitors to look at, which quite frankly, lacking in the other reviews in this post.
My favourite dish? Not easy as Barbecoa had me at a cocktail teamed with Croquettes & for starters, but if I really must choose, well then it had to be .
If you are hungry though, I would take it easy of the first two courses as the desserts look delicious! But I can almost guarantee you won’t get home if you have this on top of the first two courses.
