As someone who finds it difficult to consume fruits at times, I wanted to discover a new way to include the kiwifruit into my diet. And as a lover of avocado (I mean, what blogger doesn’t love avocado?) I discovered a new recipe which I put to the test asap.
The Kiwi Avocado Salsa Verde is a delicious condiment to many dishes, across every season. As a savoury kinda gal, I have found it works perfectly with pretty much any dish I make, whether that be meat, fish, snacks and even as a salad dressing.

Here’s how you can make a Kiwi Avocado Salsa Verde at home and all by yourself!
Kiwi Avocado Salsa Verde
5 Zespri® SunGold kiwifruits peeled and diced
2 Spring Onions, chopped
1 avocado, diced
½ cup chopped Coriander
¼ cup chopped red onion* (see note)
juice and zest of 1 to 2 limes (about 2 tablespoons of juice)
1 garlic clove, minced
1 jalapeño pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
In a small bowl, combine kiwi, scallions, avocado, cilantro, onion, lime juice and zest, garlic, jalapeño, if using, and generous pinches of sea salt. Season to taste with additional sea salt and/or lime juice then serve.
