Being able to write this blog for a living is the dream… As is being able to travel write around the globe, so I can feed it back to you guys in a stylish and timely fashion. So when I am contacted by a major airline, and/or travel operator to help celebrate the launch of their new service, the phrase ‘over the moon’ just does not cut it.
‘Out of this world’ is probably the best way to describe it!
And that’s just how I felt when Delta Air Lines contacted me with an invitation to celebrate the launch of their new, all year round, non-stop flight between the UK & Utah. The first and only of its kind from London’s Heathrow to Salt Lake, Utah.

The event which took place last week Thursday, 21st April, at the phenomenal London structure in Leadenhall, also known as Landing Forty Two, The Leadenhall Building, with almost terrifying yet beautiful views looking out onto London at night was simply fantastic!
With virtually, interactive experiences of what it’s actually like being onboard a Delta Airlines flight from Heathrow To Salt-Lake would actually be like, to live meal tutorials by in-house Chef, and of course, a few speeches from the wonderfully friendly and positive hosts, the night was simply perfect in every way.
Could any on thing have topped this experience for me? Of course, just x2 Premium Economy Tickets to stay in Utah for a few days would definitely have done the trick. Luckily for another guest, they won this awesome trip of a lifetime.
If you are wondering (like I initially was) where in the world, or more simply, within the USA Utah can be found, then let me help you. Salt Lake City, is Utah’s high-elevation capital,
bordered by the icy waters of the Great Salt Lake and the
snow-capped peaks of the Wasatch Range. The state of
Utah is also closest to the likes of Wyoming, Idaho & Nevada
– so fans of the hit TV series Fargo, you’d be in for a treat
visiting Utah! Whilst its not the next neighbouring state to
Minnesota where the town of Fargo is located, its pretty close
and really a stunning destination to visit at this once in your
Worried about the weather? With Delta operating flights out of the UK to Utah all year-round, the brand’s customers can enjoy the best of summer in the Mountain West, as well as a broad range of winter sports.
“We are committed to expanding our U.K. network and the Salt Lake City flight opens up a whole new area of the United States for Delta’s British customers,” said Dwight James, senior vice president, trans-Atlantic. “With the start of this year-round service, our customers will be able to enjoy five of North America’s most stunning national parks plus 14 ski resorts offering some of the world’s best skiing. We are confident our customers will enjoy all that Utah has to offer.”
Customers flying in Delta Comfort+, Delta’s premium economy service, benefit from up to four additional inches of legroom and 50 percent more recline than Main Cabin seats, as well as priority boarding.
As for services for all passengers regardless of cabin class/ service, throughout the aircraft, all passengers have access to on-demand in-flight entertainment as well as the fight being Wi-Fi equipped – something I think we all can appreciate on such a long-haul journey.
If you are lucky enough to fly Delta One (Delta’s very own first class service) passengers can enjoy fully flat-bed seats with individual aisle access, heavenly inflight bedding from Westin Hotels & Resorts as well as gorgeous TUMI amenity kits featuring products by luxury brand, MALIN + GOETZ.
