Nothing quite beats experiencing the best of a travel destination and it’s culture like sampling the food!
And although I haven’t been to Lisbon (yet), it’s now very high up on my list of European cities to visit after my recent #FlavoursOfLisbon venture with Talented Talkers, to celebrate Monarch Airlines‘ recently launched, new flight-path to Lisbon!
Unfortunately the delightful teams behind the event couldn’t get me there, Monarch celebrated this flight offering by bringing a taste of Portugal directly to me through a peri-peri exciting, Portuguese cooking event with the Atelier des Chefs cookery school.
The evening, which I attended with my fellow blogger & friend, Simi of The Whitelist, involved lots and lots of delicious Portugese made wine and nibbles to start with, then swiftly moved into cooking the most delicious 2-course meal, I had in quite some time. Perfectly washed down with, yes, a bit more wine!
If you are planning on heading to Lisbon soon, why not check out this Monarch Blog post written by food Anjelica Malin, Editor-in-Chief at About Time Magazine, who lists most of the dishes the rest of my blogging crew prepared at the event, plus the best restaurants in Lisbon to really taste the Flavours Of Lisbon from.
