Previously I’ve heard so many great things about Curlvolution so I expect this year to be even bigger and more impactful as the event organisers have promised to provide a perfect day for lovers of natural hair and beauty to come together to share ideas and get inspired. This blog’s goal was always to spread knowlegde whether on haircare, fashion or travel and as I learn how to help and care for my own hair, by reading this blog and subscribing to the Youtube, you too will learn the secrets to beautiful, natural afro/mixzed textured hair!

The Curlvolution team say “Curlvolution 2015 will be nothing short of fabulous, whilst being uplifting and educational; providing a perfect day for lovers of natural hair and beauty to come together to share ideas and get inspired”

Unfortunately I missed all of the last four annual events but this year, and as my blog grows, I will be in attendance and I cannot wait to report back to you all with my curly hair findings and honest reviews of the whole event including the highly anticipated workshops with the likes of professional makeup artist and educator Kluermoi, Bloggers Neffyfrofro ‘Laila’ and Pelumi from CareForYourHair.

Also this year, Curlvolution will be supporting blood cancer charity ACLT (African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust), who will return to educate and spread awareness on the lack ethnic minority individuals on the UK stem cell (bone marrow), blood and organ registers.

Curlvolution have also added a great workshop for our #TeenCurlistas hosted by

Action Jackson, for 12-16 year olds to help put aside beauty myths and focus on elevating their inner beauty, strength and individuality.  If you have a younger sister, niece or cousin – this workshop is for them. The younger generation attending will learn about the unrealistic ideal of beauty they are consistently bombarded with through social and national media. This workshop will give them the opportunity to be armed with the necessary tools to understand what really matters in life – becoming an amazing young woman and Phenomenal YOU.

Tickets for the day long event are available here, and also from

Early bird tickets are now SOLD OUT however there are tickets still available are priced at £20 for adults (general admission), General admission + a selection of workshops start from £35 and tickets for children are £5. The Curlvolution doors will be open from 10am to 6pm.

Excited? Stay tuned! And for a little inspiration, check out my general #HAIR board on Pinterest which features some serious #Curlistas!
