Front Facing Garden
If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Instagram, you will know that of late, I have been truly blessed in the travel stakes. One of these blessings appeared in the form of a once in a lifetime trip to Cannes, France in celebration of the Film Festival which recently ended.Travelling alongside my boyfriend Thelonious Oliver and his artist, the legendary Neneh Cherry I experienced the true beauty of Cannes.

Landing into Nice from London’s Gatwick airport on a night flight, our promoter ensured we were collected after a delayed Easyjet flight in a royal-esque, black Chrysler GT 300 and driven to our apartment located on the most sought after strip where mostly all Cannes premieres take place, La Croisette. Our 3 bed ‘party’ apartment ‘La Croix Du Sud’ was simply beautiful with both a front and back garden which welcomed the beautiful Cannes weather every morning of our stay. Oh and I nearly forgot to mention, that our apartment faced the beautiful Cannes sea! Divine! These are the first views of our apartment I could share the next morning after landing in Cannes.

Later that day we prepped for both Theo’s & Neneh’s big night, dj’ing for the creative/ corporate crowd at La Chambre Noire in the JW Marriott Cannes, hosted by NYC based musician, Theophilus London (also friend to my girl crush, Hannah Bronfman). This was a blast as we partied until early morning with the likes of Aline Afanoukoé and other french/ parisian creatives enjoying handcrafted Belvedere Vodkas, before being led to the penthouse where we were literally serenaded by our fellow Brit girl, Rita Ora who requested to be Godmother to our non-existent child…hahaha

After a much needed rest and seeing the lovely Neneh off on a flight back to London, Theo & I headed down to the marina for a view of the locals high street shops found on the Rue d’
The Reach Kid.
Stopping by to admire street art sculptures on the La Croisette
On our last day and nursing a well deserved and fun induced hangover, Theo and I took it real easy and went to check out The Reach Kid’s art installation again at La Chambre Noir suite, still hosted by Belvedere Vodka which was super cool! Love his work! We then grabbed both breakfast and lunch at the J W Marriott, Cannes before literally sleeping on the beach in the sun. Not much sight seeing but indeed the perfect way to round off an awesome trip to Cannes.
