New @SouthernComfort Blood Orange #fortravellers #ShottaSoCo

Although my holidays for the year are pretty much done and dusted - minus the one I'm currently on! (Travel PR's please get in touch) I will always be a travel, lifestyle, food and drink enthusiast and can appreciate almost all of the products and events that fall within these brackets! So when I hear of a brand i.e food/ drink that collaborates with another brand/ store/ product etc I immediately get excited and literally get typing on the blog.

#HeinzChilliSauceOff

I'm starting to think of myself as a bit of cook nowadays, which has definitely been propelled by the amount of reads and support I received when I posted my first ever recipe on chloepierre.com - Huge thank you to all my readers by the way!

So when you guys took notice of my culinary skills, I kinda thought, you know, I might be on to a good thing here, especially as I love food and recognise the importance of cooking especially as its so much cheaper and at times, even healthier than eating out. But who am I kidding? You and I both know we love to do that.

The Meat Co Review

Lately I've been loving eating meat which isn't necessarily good in copious amounts, for your body but I've become so partial to good meat and a glass of red wine and I simply cant help myself. This all started after my trip to The Meat Co - a South African dining experience situated just outside of Westfield, Shepherds Bush.

Mary Berry's (flourless) Beetroot Red Velvet Chocolate Torte - Recipe Post

Earlier this week, I came home to my lovely Nanna & 3 massive and freshly baked, traditional Caribbean rum cakes, which i used to love making with her when I was younger - mainly because I loved eating the raw batter perched on the steps outside our kitchen. She was baking ahead of this Christmas which got me thinking... wouldn't it be cool to bake something a little healthier for Christmas this year?

Disaronno Wears Cavalli

I love it when amazing brands collaborate, so you can imagine my excitement when I was invited down to the London launch of Disaronno Wears Cavalli, held at the super gorgeous Roberto Cavalli store in Knightsbridge. The luxe store hosted an intimate yet celeb filled instore party to celebrate Disaronno Wears Cavalli - a super stylish limited edition bottle which represents a unique collaboration between two of Italy's most iconic brands.

The gorgeous bottle has been dressed in a bold, vibrant and colourful style, drawing inspiration from the Robert Cavalli SS 2015 Pre-Collection, taping it's influence from the enchanting undersea world and the most exotic safari locations. I love the stunning design which is draped in a new graphic animal print making DISARONNO the perfect gift for fashion loving travellers this winter.

Listed in Harvey Nichols, Waitrose, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s stores nationwide, the limited edition bottle will be supported by exciting in store activations and an affordable a retail price estimated at £15, ensuring that this new bottle flies off the shelves. I also think this doubles up as a great gift for both yourself and someone just as fabulous and stylish as you!

For the first time, the designer collaboration will also be available in 6 adorable 50ml mini bottles in coordinated looks for the season. These perfectly packaged 3-packs of minis (offered in two versions) are an ideal impulse purchase gift item or self-treat for travellers.

Wine & Cheese at ‪#‎SommelierSundays

I've heard its great to have friends...I've also heard it's great to have just as wonderful friends, but what I love is having friends who share the same passions as myself, who I can admire and draw inspiration from. That's exactly what I got when Holly Chaves sent me an event invitation on Facebook recently. Holly is a real foodie and lovely friend of my boyfriend who has worked at some of London's coolest and instagram worthy food hotspots and has now turned her hand to cheesemongering at The Cheeseboard. The girl is obviously onto something here so we all should take serious notes!

For the first but definitely not last time, Holly is hosting her very own #‎SommelierSundays under the name 'Wine & Rinds' at Newman Arms Pub with the help from Italian wine suppliers Tutto Wines on Sunday the 1st November.

#‎SommelierSundays Is an intimate evening celebrating wine and cheese from the region of Piedmont, the north western corner of Italy.

And yes you guessed it right, there'll be loads of fondue & booze.
Holly, from The Cheeseboard Greenwich, will prepare three Piedmontese cheese dishes, each being paired with wines from Valfaccenda, Olek Bondonio, Cascina Tavijn and Ezio Cerruti, chosen by the guys at Tutto Wines.

To reserve your place on what is to be a new & tasty way to spend your Sundays,
email: windnrind@gmail.com to reserve a place for just £25 a head!

Halloween @ Fiesta w/ Sainsburys

I'm so excited for Halloween! Being raised in a Catholic household you'd think we were sworn of celebrating the event but my family have never been too strict, plus growing up, they'd always throw the best parties. And Halloween was no exception - even the kids got stuck in with prepping. What I remember and loved most was decorating the house and creating 'The Tub Of Doom' - which was basically a huge basin with toys and treats thrown in amongst really gruesome things like beans, slime and pretty much whatever us kids could get hold of. Oh the good old days of DIY.

Nowadays, not everyone has the time for all of that so many brands are supplying their local stores with ebvrything you need to create the best themed party with a wide selection of decorations. However none are quite like the decorations I saw at Sainsbury's Halloween press day. They had everything from sweets, makeup, wigs - costumes for men, kids and women (which go right up to a plus size 24), decorative pumpkins, eerily designed yet delicious canapes & drinks, table settings and standing ornaments.

I was so impressed with the Sainsburys Halloween offering that when I was commissioned to design the set for Fiesta's Halloween Party (see flyer below) I jumped at the offer and heading straight to my biggest Sainsbury's supermarket (Dalston Kingsland) and spent just under £50 on decorations which will really make the Fiesta revellers spook out!

If you havent planned your Halloween outfit yet, head over to Sainsbury (both instore and online) now for an effective costume and dont forget to pick up decorations and decorative foods whilst you are there.

And if you are looking for a themed party to go to, I'd highly suggest head over to
Fiesta's Facebook page now and sharing it will all of your friends!

Rugby World Cup 2015 With @KitbagUK

I have to say, it's a shame England didn't go as far as many of us would have liked in this year's Rugby World Cup...I honestly thought this was our chance! Now, do not think i am trying to pull the wool over your eyes here, not by any means am I a rugby or a sporting fan but it's funny how patriotic one can become as soon as you throw on some of the official club's merchandise.

As I travel to Paris (literally as you read this) I not only deemed this post appropriate but also necessary for those who may ask on posts uploaded to Instagram, where I purchased items or where I took my inspirations from.  If I ever had one individual of whom I could reference their style as being one of my biggest aspirations this season, AW15 and many of times over my formative fashion years, it would be undoubtedly be Carine Roitfeld.

Bloggers Lunch At The Wild Rabbit

It was such a refreshing and welcoming pleasure that I was invited by Angel Publicity to experience The Wild Rabbit - a pub turned restaurant turned boutique hotel - on a Bloggers/ Press Trip in stunning Kingham, mainly because I thought my last trip to any form of countryside (for the rest of the year) would be Glastonbury. I love the country and I soon found out, I love the Cotswold too! All thanks to the hospitable staff and PR behind
The Wild Rabbit.

In the establishment's own words, "The Wild Rabbit is a re-invention of the traditional English inn – a place to eat, drink and sleep.Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, we serve locally sourced, seasonal food in a relaxed and welcoming setting"

On arrival to the venue after being personally collected from the station by The Wild Rabbit's General Manager, I was instantly impressed with the picturesque scene as shown above. Outside of the venue/ pub/ hotel (which is also dog-friendly) was immaculately clean and quiet although not too airy. Before walking in to the very well presented, traditional English establishment, I was met by two very large rabbits which stood at around ft tall. Now don't worry, these fine statues were not real rabbits, but instead beautifully cut, grass sculptures to greet everyone ahead of what would be their (unforgettable) experience The White Rabbit.

When I strutted into The Wild Rabbit through the front door, I was immediately met with a cool warmth (if that makes sense) and was directed across the pub bar/ terrace to a small area in which I met three fantastic Bloggers/ Writers, Anna of Anna Barnett Cooks, Elizabeth Pears, News Editor for The Voice Newspaper and Brooke of This Cotswold Girl, a local Cotswold resident and Digital Editor. After a quick introductory chat which was made super easy thanks to the warmth of all three writers and PR, over parma ham (thankfully, I missed this! I hate ham...period!) and a perfectly chilled bottle of fizz, we were led to our table with The Wild Rabbit's restaurant, appropriately named The Chicken Shed, where you know, the (foodie) magic began! Anna's image below captured the mood and ambiance perfectly I had to share it with you all!

The Chicken Shed is The Wild Rabbit's private dining area decorated in true Cotswold country style with a delicious and constantly changing tasting menu curated by Head Chef Tony Parkin, that supports both local British farmers and artisans, using natural ingredients in the prime...even game throughout the autumn.

I am fully prepared to go into as much details as possible about what we ate and why I personally chose the dishes I did. I'll tell you now, I was pretty hungry after the train ride  and lack of any breakfast before catching the train, so I was pretty much ready to eat anything the lovely staff brought me off the farm but surprisingly, I was completely stuffed after my starter and main.

My Starter:
Goujons of pollock with saffron aioli £11.00

This not so little helping of perfectly deep fried Pollock Goujons which I excitedly dipped into the light yet creamy Saffron Aioli was simply delicious. As this was my starter I thought ordering big would set me on the right track and hopefully I'd be able to woof down the next course…sadly I was wrong as this seemingly little dish actually packs a lot of punch. I would suggest ordering with a side salad or even chips. You will be wholly satisfied let me assure you.

Brook's Starter:
Heritage tomato with goats curd and basil £8.50

Anna's Starter:
Duck liver parfait with homemade mustard fruits & toasted sourdough 8.50

My Main:
Grilled chicken breast, sweetcorn, baby gem lettuce and spring onion £20.50

For my main, I ordered the Grilled chicken breast, sweetcorn, baby gem lettuce and spring onion. Usually I am not a super fan of chicken (cooked in any which way) as I find it is a general dish…that was until I tried this dish. The chicken, of course was of great organic quality and was served with fresh summer vegetables which were light and viciously mouth watering. With every crunch I knew the ingredients were not only sourced well but cooked to perfection. Again, there was no signs of over (or my pet-hate) under-cooking but just perfect.  This delightful dish comes on it's own however you can always order sides to accompany it but as a warning, you will likely be very full!

Brooks & Elizabeth's Mains:
Risotto of broad bean and pea with shaved fennel and fennel pollen £16.50
Roast sea bream with peas, broad beans, fennel salad and basil oil £17.00

Anna's Main:
Chargrilled 10oz rib eye on the bone, chips and béarnaise sauce £28.00

I was really not surprised to hear after my meal, that The Wild Rabbit was recently awarded three AA rosettes by the AA and announced as the PUB OF THE YEAR in the 2015 edition of the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide. Rebecca Burr, Editor of the guide said “This Cotswold pub is a chocolate box delight: stylish yet rustic, spacious yet cosy, it offers a convivial welcome, knock-out bedrooms and, of course, first-rate food” and I couldn't agree with her more. London's foodie scene is definitely so overcrowded so to be able to experience great food in peaceful surroundings is why I can confirm The Wild Rabbit as one of the great places to eat in the UK. There aren't many places which cater for almost every need and make you feel like its a home-from-home...no matter how much they try to drum it in your head. The Wild Rabbit doesn't do that, they let their venue speak volumes itself.

Above are images from the hotel situated above The Wild Rabbit's Pub & Restaurant. Although I did not manage to stay here overnight, which I am absolutely dying to do! I can tell you that these quiet quarters are all and even more than what you'd expect of a country boutique hotel. I loved each and every room, however the Master suite is a room to be reckoned with. I think if I stayed in that room, its quite possible that I'd never leave!

Thank you to Angel Publicity and Lucy for this wonderful opportunity, The Wild Rabbit for the delectable food, which I must have again and the lovely writers, I am grateful to have met.
