Happy 20th Anniversary Sh! Womenstore

Sh! Founder Kathryn Howle & I

My goody bag!!! Eeek!

Words cannot describe the amount of fun I had when I attended the Sh! Womenstore's 20th Anniversary.
Who knew they had been around for so long?

What I love about the Sh! brand, the founders, staff and stores, is that they are all so friendly and welcoming. Never have I experienced genuine customer service like this.
For those who have never heard of Sh! or don't know in entirety what Sh! is all about, let me fill you in

"Sh! Women's Erotic Emporium was established on 1st April 1992. As the UK's first female sex shop, Sh! founded itself as an antidote to sleazy sex shops and has since trail blazed the way for the whole of the sex industry to take a giant u-turn in how it views women's sexuality.
Hailed in the press as "true pioneers" (The Observer Magazine) "ground-breaking" (Time Out) and "the best sex shop for women" (Time Out) , our mission has always been to create a comfortable, welcoming and informative atmosphere for women to browse and buy sex toys on line and in our London store, where guys are welcome to visit "as a guest" of a woman "
Sh! not only aims to offer the best selection of female sex toys sourced from around the world but they also design and manufacture their own range of regular and vibrating silicone dildos, strap on harnesses, bondage and personal lubricant that you won't find anywhere else but in Sh! Online and London stores.
Sh! treats all womens' sexuality as equal; so whether you are single, married, co-habiting or divorced, straight, lesbian or bi, a mother, disabled, a survivor of cancer, like to swing from chandeliers or prefer the missionary position, you'll always be welcome at Sh!

Here are the Sh! commitments which I think their success' are drawn from;
I first came across Sh! whilst wandering Hoxton after a Saturday morning meeting. All I remember is buckling the corner of Coronet Street and seeing a pink windowed building disguised as a shop front. When I walked in, I wasn't sure what to expect, I was thinking maybe its a quirky gift shop or even a sweet shop, but alas! it was a sex store!!! Shock freaking horror! Ha!
I was firstly offered a cup of tea (well I never!) then I was left to my own devices (which I love about shopping) in which I revelled in playing with vibrators of all kinds, looking at corsettry, trying strap on's and tasting the most delicious lubricant flavours I have ever come across. And these lubricants is what has kept me going back to Sh! because the taste doesn't fade into bitterness within seconds....Its lasts a good few hours! Amazing
So back to the Sh! Anniversary event... held in the grande Cafe De Paris venue, oozing illegal amounts of class with its dark, velvet interiors and old school glamour feel, I was treated to a variety of provocative performances whilst Sh! employees dressed head to toe in silk ties, frills and other tantalizing costumes, cascaded the VIP floor with trays full of bondage accessories, paddles, powerful vibrators and lubricants of all types. I actually thought I had died and gone to heaven... then I was presented with the biggest and most exciting goody bag I have ever received. There were products in there I had never heard of but let me warn you, I am eager to try out.
Censor warning! Lol

Goodbye KG's

With great sadness and a mass of reluctance, I must say goodbye to my beautiful Kurt Geiger sandals.
Although we only spent a year together, I can only describe that time as being on of the best times of my life. When I thought my only option at times was to wear heels, you popped into sight and made me at ease. I will never forget the endless trips to Shoreditch & Oxford Circus and how you got me through the summer at London Fashion Week 2011.
My only wish is that KG would had maufactured you a bit differently. That strap at the back, where you ultimately met your death, was always going to be a problem, and although I knew that one day, you would split, I prayed for the strength for you to hang on.
Regrettably, this is goodbye but I can say you will be sorely missed, and undoubtedly, you are irreplaceable.
Lots of love, CP xo

I'm loving attending as many press days as I possibly can this month but to say its been difficult would be an understatement. Nevertheless, I've had a great time viewing, what some of my favourite designer brands have in store for us this AW12 and I love the presentation Surgery PR put on.
So laid back, friendly and informative, Surgery PR is soon to be my favourite PR Agency.

Blackberry #BBM Party

Last night I attended the infamous Blackberry #BBM Party which was intended to promote the new BBM service feature, Blackberry have now incorporated.

I was shocked to see that despite having a super VIP entrance secluded for the likes of celebrities only, (I partied alongside real celebrities such as Jessie J, Wretch 32, Chipmunk, Lisa Mafia, DJ Swerve etc) there was a huge amount of excitable Blackberry 'teen users' as the Metro newspaper called them, and non-industry folk who ended up ruining the night with stupid behaviour including the well publicised 'stabbing'

Please note; I got home at 3am after being locked in the venue (The Bankside Vaults) with a serious lack of communication as to when I'd be allowed to leave. The plus side being, there was huge amounts of water available.

I guess this will teach Blackberry to keep their events as 'industry only'

Despite the drama, I had a great time! Check out some of my pics from the night;

So I posed for a pic with TOWIE star Lauren Goodger - I actually wanted one with Lydia Bright :(
